The film's script is similar to HMN-077, which was nominated for the best feature film at the first JAV Golden Rooster Awards - but unlike the warmth of HMN-077, this film is darker and more humorous. Jokes, irony, black humor, and the shots at the end of the film are even more meaningful. This multi-metaphor technique that blurs fiction and reality and even breaks the screen between the film and the audience was also used by Director Kawaguchi in SSNI-973.
